This book has very adult themes, but is written at a younger level. It affords wonderful discussion while being easily accessible. As we read, we will build our vocabulary and ensure reading comprehension while practicing quality writing, active conversation, and correct grammar skills. First, get the book in subtext.

Look at all the edits on your Personal Narrative and analyze it for strengths and weaknesses.
Identify one area of focus you would like to perfect in your writing.
Write a 1/2 page analysis explaining your strength(s) and at least one area of focus you will be working on in your next writing assignment. Write the analysis in Notability and copy it to the Focus assignment called "PN Analysis."
Then return to your digital copy of the personal narrative and make all the needed corrections.
Print a new, beautifully corrected copy of your Personal Narrative and staple it to the old copy. Turn it in for 15 pts+ I will go back and change your original grade to 30/30. That makes this assignment worth 45 points in which you automatically get 100%!

To write a poem that represents oneself.
To creatively add imagery that compliments both the poem as a meaningful expression of self.
To get to know each other through as we share our projects.
You may use this format to help you create a poem of your own.
When you finish your poem, use the on-line tool to "Create My Instant I Am poem now!" and copy/paste it to either Notability or Pages. First, in Notability, answer this journal question: What does China do to prevent large amounts of immigration into the country? If it is possible, how would a person from another country take up residence in China?
Vocab: You should have already copied my vocabulary set on Quizlet. My set is called "Upfront Immigration." Please continue your Notability document by writing a sentence using each of the 20 words.
In Notability, make a set of reasons in two bullet point lists. List one - give all the reasons in FAVOR of immigration (How is immigration a good thing for the U.S. and for people?). List two - give all the reasons why the U.S. should stop or seriously limit immigration (How is immigration a bad thing for the U.S. or for people?). Refer back to the article to help you find the information.
